Properties and stability
1. Chemical properties: it has the chemical properties of general carboxylic acid, and can form acyl chloride, anhydride, ester, amide, nitrile and other compounds. α- Under the catalysis of phosphorus trichloride, hydrogen atom is easily replaced by halogen to form hydrogen atom α- Halopropionic acid.

3. It is of low toxicity. It is less toxic than formic acid and has irritating effect on eyes, skin and mucous membrane. It is bactericidal as acetic acid and can inhibit the growth of bacteria. In 5% ~ 7% solution, the bacteria are completely killed in 15 minutes. Rinse immediately with water when in contact with skin. Storage method

Explosion proof lighting and ventilation facilities are adopted. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable storage materials.
